This drive offers high performance when transferring largeblocksize data, but you need to have the additional hardware to take advantage of the throughput speeds. USB 3.1 Generation 2 is new to market, and very few computers ship with the interface right
Pricing is consistent with what we would expect, but we would like to see a reduction. The drive is bulky compared to the Samsung T3 that also ships in a 2TB capacity, size but the Extreme 900 uses two SATA SSDs in RAID 0, so it has to be larger.
If you need a large-capacity external SSD for large sequential files, the SanDisk Extreme 900 delivers the highest performance available at this time. If your workload involves less data, then the performance drops due to the internal RAID configuration...

Color me impressed. Not only is SanDisk the first major player out there with a 10Gbps USB drive, but the company has implemented it extremely well. I wish MLC (Multi-Level Cell/2-bit) NAND were used, for more consistent write performance, but even th...
The SanDisk Extreme 900 Portable SSD is super fast, and includes both a USB-C cable and a regular USB cable, so it'll work with all USB ports for the foreseeable future
The drive is large and slightly more expensive compared to competing drives. The three-year warranty is too short
Rugged, fast and capacious, the SanDisk Extreme 900 Portable SSD is an excellent portable drive...

Resumen: What's the best way to be sure your external hard drive won't suffer an early demise due to rough handling? Keep it in a climate-controlled room, wrapped in bubble wrap, resting on a feather pillow, and plugged safely into a stationary desktop PC. Excelle...
