Lenovo's IdeaPad U300s is the coolest-looking of the new generation of Ultrabook laptops, and packs in a large SSD drive, USB 3.0, and more.
Our more expensive configuration offers no discount from a comparable MacBook Air, and leaves out some basic ports and connections.
Lenovo's stylish U300s Ultrabook is one of the best-looking Windows laptops we've seen and matches Apple's MacBook Air nearly spec for spec. The entry-level version is $100 less than Apple's, but that discount vanishes on the higher-end model.

Matt screen, Intel Core i5 performance, Comfortable keyboard, Lightweight, Good battery life
Bland design, Badly placed Home buttons, Annoying trackpad, Limited connections
When it comes to weighing up the Lenovo IdeaPad U300S, "average" is a word that crops up too often. It looks average, performance is average despite being thicker and heavier than other ultrabooks, and the keyboard and trackpad are still awkward to use. I...

Resumen: Lenovo IdeaPad U300s review, Lenovo's first Ultrabook. This is a 3 pound, 0.6″ thin laptop with an aluminum shell and Intel ULV Core i5 and i7 CPU options. It's a skinnier and smarter version of the U260 that came out earlier this year, and it has the usu...

Resumen: Lenevo U300s is an ultra-slim notebook with an attractive metal design. The 13.3 inch screen has a native resolution of 1366x768p, which is lower than some of its close competitors, such as Asus Zenbook and Macbook air. It has sturdy, well-spaced ke...

Attractive, unibody metal shell, Very good performance, Intel WiDi feature, Excellent keyboard, Useful proprietary software
Trackpad isn't the best, No SD Card slot
Lenovo's first ultrabook to launch in India, the IdeaPad U300s, couldn't be more eye-catching. Despite being a sleek and lightweight ultraportable laptop, like the HP Folio 13 (read our review) and Asus Zenbook UX31E, the Lenovo IdeaPad U300s successfu...
Solid Build Quality, Unique 'booklike' design, Very Portable, Very Good performance, Responsive keyboard and Multitouch gesture enabled touchpad, Windows installation is relatively free of bloatware
Could have had a better screen, No Backlighting option for the keyboard
This elegant looking ultrabook is among Intel's new wave of ultraportables that are meant to compete against Apple's Mac Book Air. The IdeaPad U300s ultrabook comes with a distinctive new look, is very portable and has a good build quality. Its perfor...

At Rs.67,990, it is a little bit cheaper than a similarly spec’d MacBook Air, but overall, it’s still pretty steep. If Lenovo dropped the price to about 45-50K, then it would make a very good buy. Sure it may not have a LAN jack, but honestly, I didn’t...
