Be sure the slower Y-series processor is up to your needs” said Ben on his review of the Core i7 version of the 11s. If you’re happy with ‘Y’ then at $699 this is a great-value sub-notebbook. Is it an Ultrabook? That’s debateable but one thing is for sure, this is a goo...

Generation Y is here, and so are the sleek Windows laptops and tablets. The Acer Aspire P3, Lenovo Yoga 11s and Toshiba WT310 are all equipped with Intel Core CPUs from the new Y series. The new processors are more energy-efficient, which is great for b...

Range of convertible positions, Nice IPS 10, point touchscreen, Boots quickly, solid performer
Extra heat venting mars tablet mode, Overly aggressive ambient light sensor, Poor battery life
As an innovative next-generation form factor, the Lenovo Yoga 11S is a cool experiment and shows potential. As a usable laptop and convertible tablet, the Yoga 11S isn't quite all there yet. It is usable, yes, and innovative, true enough, but the 11S has...

Compact, clever design, good keyboard, reasonable battery life, Windows 8 rather than RT, good touchscreen
Still quite expensive, trackpad can be a little bothersome
As a laptop, the Yoga 11S has lots to offer. It's a nice little machine that has impressed us in general use. There are some interesting things to note. For a start, we tested the Core i3 version of the machine, which doesn't seem to appear on the L...
The Yoga 11S shares the same solid build quality as its bigger brother. The keyboard is nice and firm, it has thin chassis lines, and it comes in two colours, making it an attractive Ultrabook. (Ours was bright orange, but a more understated silver-grey version is also available.) We've seen it before in the rest of the Yoga family, but the transforming element is still impressive. Bored of using
While Lenovo has crammed in faster components, it does mean that the 11S gets quite hot. It's not really a problem when you're using it as a tablet, or if you've got it propped up on a desk, but use it as a laptop and your lap could get uncomfortable pretty quickly. Battery life is also a concern - the Yoga 11S's third-generation processor doesn't have the same energy-saving smarts as Intel's fou
Lenovo has kept the same fun transforming form factor as its original 11-inch wunderkind, but has pumped up the processing power, making the 11S an attractive purchase and a better Windows 8 hybrid than Microsoft's own Surface Pro. It's not cheap, star...

Lenovo's double-jointed hybrid, the Yoga 11S, is tantalisingly close to the best of both worlds, but there's room for improvement...
