The N8 is the proverbial curate's egg. It offers very capable hardware with real benefits, particularly for imaging, and wraps it in a rough UI. Indeed, it retains much of the cruftiness of the Symbian S60 5th Edition interface, which feels clumsy and...
Resumen: Nokia has had it rough lately. But with the feature-packed N8, the Finnish handset maker has finally earned a spot at the cool kids table, just not at the head of said table. The N8 delivers most of what we’ve come to expect from a flagship smartphone. ...
Like or loath the Nokia N8's styling, there's no debating the quality on offer here. It's constructed almost entirely from anodised aluminium, and is incredibly tough. A glass screen adds to the quality, and it's a smartphone that can easily withstand daily knocks and drops. It's the 12-Megapixel camera that really stands out on the Nokia N8, however. It's quite simply the best camera we've seen
The Nokia N8 may have an all new operating system, but like older touchscreen Nokias it's still clunky compared to offerings from Apple and Android. That said, it's a lot faster than older handsets, and there are lots of new apps on offer from the Ovi Store.
If software is important to you, the Nokia N8 may fall behind the Apple iPhone 4, but otherwise it's worth adding to your list. It offers an outstanding specification, is particularly well made and offers excellent value for money. Best offers for the ...
Great camera; decent battery life; impressive multimedia option
Disappointing Symbian^3 OS update; poor touch screen keyboard; frustrating internet experience; cluttered interface
The N8 is a valiant effort from Nokia and definitely its best high-end smartphone to date. However, Symbian^3 is a big letdown and, while the N8 will satisfy multimedia and Nokia fans, it could struggle to attract business users against competition fr...
The Nokia N8 is a seriously powerful smartphone with some great features such as the 12-megapixel camera and the HDMI-out capabilities. However we feel there’s much room for improvement on the user interface side of things and the web browser could do ...
The N8 and Symbian^3 offer a better and more enhanced user experience than previous devices, Excellent camera and video quality, Solid hardware with 3G support, Free turnbyturn navigation via Ovi Maps
User interface still trails the competition in ease of use, The N8 can be sluggish, QWERTY keyboard in landscape mode only, Battery is not userreplaceable
The Nokia N8 excels as a camera phone, and the improvements of Symbian^3 make it one of the company's best smartphones to date. However, it still has its shortcomings, as well as an expensive price tag.…
Funky good looks; 12-megapixel camera can challenge a compact snapper; responsive capacitive touchscreen
Software is confusing and frustrating in places; fewer apps available than with rival phones; poor social-networking integration
The Nokia N8 looks fantastic on paper, but Symbian 3 is frustrating to use compared to competing smart-phone operating systems. A slick case and great camera help to make this the best Nokia touchscreen phone ever, but it's just not fun to use....
